A project under SDG 3.

Re: Stacks is built by Evermore to make smoking, air pollution and wildfire smoke easier to understand across ASEAN—connecting regional exposure, respiratory health and practical action.

How it's built

Re: Stacks

This site

The front door — a static marketing site with no accounts and no tracking. It links out to the two apps below and holds this page.

Reframe

The evidence map · map.restacks.org

A respiratory-health map organized around smoking, air pollution and wildfire smoke. It combines live air-quality readings, NASA FIRMS fire detections, country-level context and cited reports, with an interactive body explorer for learning how tobacco smoke affects major organ systems.

Restacks

The daily companion app · app.restacks.org

Turns a local air-quality reading into a daily plan — air and wildfire protection, tobacco-cessation support with a guided Craving Rescue, and short respiratory-health lessons. Use it as a guest, with progress saved only to that browser, or create a free account to keep your progress across devices.

Privacy policy

Short version: we don't collect much, because we don't need to. Here's exactly what happens with your data across all three apps.

What we collect

If you grant permission, Restacks reads your device location to fetch an air-quality reading for your area — the only personal data guest use requires. If you create a Restacks account, we also collect the email address and profile details (name, city, smoking status) you choose to add, so your plan and Craving Rescue history sync across devices.

What we don't collect

No analytics, no advertising trackers, no third-party cookies. Nothing here builds a marketing profile of you across visits, and creating a Restacks account is always optional.

Local storage and accounts

As a guest, Restacks saves your name, city, and progress in your browser's local storage only — not on a server. If you create an account, that same profile plus your smoke-free start date and completed actions sync through our authentication provider so they follow you across devices. "Delete account" removes both the local copy and, if you're signed in, your account data.

Third-party services

The map and app call the Google Air Quality API (for readings) and NASA FIRMS (for fire detections); the evidence panel cites reports from GDELT and ReliefWeb. Each receives only what's needed to answer the request — coordinates for a reading, a bounding box for fire data — never a name, account, or identifier, because we don't have one to send.

Changes

If this changes, this page will be updated to describe exactly what's new before it ships.
